COMMON QUESTIONS

What type of work do we do?

We are a small, versatile firm with experience in new builds, major and minor renovations, additions, legalizations, rental certifications, and I/A septic designs, which are often required for larger additions.

Why do I need a local architect?

An architect ensures your home is well-designed, fits seamlessly with the unique East End of Long Island surroundings, and complies with local building and town regulations. We create spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable. By providing detailed plans to your builder, we enable them to plan ahead, resulting in savings in both cost and time during the construction phase. As a local firm, we can also help you find the best builder for your project and be available to address any questions that may arise during construction.

What is involved in the design process?

We meet with you to understand your needs and preferences, then develop a detailed zoning study of your unique lot to maximize your options. Once we have a clear program and aesthetic, we create custom sketches to help visualize the concept. When the concept is finalized, we begin Design Development, building out the basic concepts in specialized software. After the basic plan is approved, we proceed with full permitting and construction drawings according to the project's requirements.
